Recent News

Ohlone for Kids and Teens offers academic and special interest enrichment classes for students in grades 3-11. Students can engage in hands-on learning activities including Arts/Performing Arts, Language Arts, English, Math, Reading, LEGO Robotics, Electronics, Science, Social Studies, and SAT/College Preparation.

League of Volunteers is offering FREE summer recreation for Newark residents ages 5-12.

The program runs June 17-27 and July 8 – August 1, 2019 (closed the week of the July 4), on Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Registration is available at www.lov.org starting May 1, 2019 on a first come, first served basis. Processing fees are $10/child.

Current Newark Unified Parents/Guardians

If you have a student in grades TK-6, an activation code was mailed to you. Click here to use your activation code to activate your ParentVUE account. You do not need to create a new account.

If you already have a ParentVUE account, click here to access your account. If you cannot remember your password, click the “Forgot Password” link on the Online Registration login page.

New students can be added to your current account. If you are enrolling a student in Kindergarten or Transitional Kindergarten, additional forms are required after you complete the online enrollment process. Please visit our K/TK enrollment page for more information, including the required Health Examination and Oral Health Assessment forms, residency verification requirements, and date range for admission to K and TK.

Please contact your student’s home school office if you need any support with ParentVUE access, or if you are not seeing all of your currently enrolled students when you log into your account.

2019-2020 Intra-District Open Enrollment (click here for form)

Requests for registered students to change schools WITHIN Newark Unified will be accepted at the District Office through Friday, March 1, 2019. An Open Enrollment request must be completed for each student. Open Enrollment requests are NOT accepted at the school sites. These requests will start being reviewed in June to allow time for families within the school area to register.

2019-2020 Interdistrict Transfer (click here for form: English | Spanish)

Requests to transfer INTO or OUT OF Newark Unified may be submitted to the District Office beginning Friday, March 1, 2019. Interdistrict Transfer requests are NOT accepted at the school sites.

Kennedy Mission  Statement
